COVID 19 – Is This Social Distancing Enough?

COVID-19, that quirky little virus that has all the world’s panties in a wad. You can’t go anywhere, visit anybody, hug your parents, dine out, see a movie, go to the store without a mask, nothing. You can spend your time with anyone in your household. I guess until we all know what this is really all about, safety comes at a price. I’ll comply, for a little bit.

Luckily, we have Wind Therapy. We can get out on the water, swim, catch fish and visit with friends on the dock, from a distance.

We got away from everyone and anchored in this cute little bay called Terra Ceia just south of the Sunshine Skyway for four nights. We took the kayak around for about an hour, went fishing, cleaned the boat, explored in our dinghy, slept late… It’s been quite nice, actually. There’s no one to bother me when I don’t get out of bed before 10:00, and I don’t even have to get dressed. I can just sleep late, eat breakfast, take a nap, catch some rays, take another nap, eat again, etc.

But, all good things must come to an end. We’re going home tomorrow because we’re running out of food. And it’s Jeff’s birthday tomorrow. He needs a cake.
